The Dairy Community has a vision to provide consumers with the nutritious dairy products they want in a way that is economically viable, environmentally sound, and socially responsible. National Dairy Council (NDC) has a 100-year legacy in nutrition, and in 2008, a commitment to sustainability was added. The individual in this role will help NDC integrate our expertise in nutrition, product and environmental research with knowledge on sustainable food systems, emphasizing public health and food security. Provides strategic guidance to help NDC educate scientists, health professionals, and the dairy community about dairy in sustainable food systems in context of public health, food security, and sustainable nutrition. Summer Internship in Global Sustainable Nutrition Affairs & Research - National Dairy Council | Rosemont, IL

The Dairy community’s health and sustainability commitment has a broad vision to provide consumers with the nutritious dairy products they want in a way that is economically viable, environmentally sound, and socially responsible.

National Dairy Council (NDC) is offering a paid, three-month Sustainable Nutrition Internship, to support emerging leaders in health and sustainable food systems. The intern will help NDC integrate our existing knowledge of nutrition, sustainability and the dairy industry and help identify future areas for research, education and engagement. The intern will gain a deep understanding of the role fairy foods play as part of sustainable foods systems.

The intern will work under the umbrella of the Global Sustainable Nutrition Affairs & Research team. This impressive team is made up of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and scientists who are seen as dairy subject matter experts and as thought leaders in their respective fields. This is a paid, full-time position over the summer.

Vice President, Marketing Communications, Sustainable Nutrition | Rosemont, IL

The Marketing Communications team is seeking an experienced consumer marketing communications professional with a foundational knowledge of nutrition, health and sustainable food systems and the ability to help translate science and insights into relevant and engaging influencer, media, and consumer content. The role includes close collaboration with research experts and the Global Sustainable Nutrition Research (GSNR) team to meet the strategic business plan. This individual will play an instrumental role in the strategic and integrated development and execution of communication plans, projects and scope of work within a collaborative, matrixed team environment to tell dairy’s story — based on science but driven by emotion and consumer-relevance.

Vice President-Product Research | Rosemont, IL

The purpose of this position is to lead and manage National Dairy Council (NDC) product research programs that support Dairy Management Inc. (i.e. Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, U.S. Dairy Export Council, Global Innovation Partnerships, Global Sustainable Nutrition Affairs and Research) and its’ partners short and long-term goals. Provide technical expertise and counsel to the organization in the areas of dairy science, product and process technology, dairy product quality and safety. Ensure research outcomes from the program are communicated to NDC partners and the dairy industry. Serve as an internal and external resource on product science and technology issues/opportunities.
